Dieting
People are always asking what kind of exercise is the best to lose weight.
Well the Best is to exercise your SELF disipline of what and how much you"re putting into your mouth ! Really, it's
the truth. People always have a choice on which person inside them they choose to feed ; the little one that is passive but
very depressed because they want out to go dancing, to play with the kids or just to run and play.......but instead most people
choose to feed the fat, loud and whinny one that lies to them about what there eating and especially why there eating it.
The fat one is hateful and a liar. Mean while you don't hear the little one until things get quiet. More or less you feel
them. They are depressed and wore out from trying to get you to do the right thing. If only you could stand up for them and
show some tough love to the fat one. Oh well we all have to make that choice everyday, some of us have to make that choice
several times a day ! Be wise and be kind to the little one.

winter time
It's a new year and that means start fresh. I joined the local community
center close to my house. I try to go 4 times a week, mainly to use the track. Tread mills are ok but I prefer the track.
I start out walking to warm up then lightly jog around the track a few times, then stop to stretch. It's very important
to stretch ! Then I walk again to start with before breaking into a jog. I very from walking, jogging and sprinting. I try
to keep my heart rate up at a comfortable rate so switching back and forth is important. I do this for40 to 45 minutes and
end with light stretching. Then it's light weights with lots of reps for 20 minutes to help my bone density. The weights
and the routine very so my body doesn't adapt and I plateau.Anyone can start doing something as long as they START doing
something. Get the hint. So make up your own routine or borrow mine and then use your imagination. Good luck

September already
I hope you have had a great summer and found lots of things to do outside
this year even with the excessive heat we have had. Now that the perfect weather for taking walks outside is here you
really need to get started. Prepare by having a light jacket for early mornings and for afternoon walks, keep the sunblock
handy. It is also the perfect time to join a gym if you need company to exercise with or just make plans at home and plan
ahead. Really pick some simple exercises like the ones on this site to start with, BUT get started.

July already !
How does the time go by so fast ! Oh well there are still so many things to
do. I hope you have made a menu of things that are fun so you can change it up.
Here are some things on my exercise menu.
Walking
outside in different neighborhoods so I can check out the landscaping.
Biking on a new path every two weeks to keep it fresh !
Help
out a retired couple weed there garden once a week & then go for a short walk with them.
I always do my counter exercises (found in the free video section) I just change the time of day I do them.
Swim
every chance you get.
Go to an amusement park, take
kids if you can, but go!

Spring is Here
Spring is here so it's time to start something that makes you feel young
again which is walking and thinking about all the wonderful things that make you smile. We don't just walk to exercise
BUT more or less to think. When the body is active the mind is too. Don't walk to just exercise or you miss what really
makes life worth living. Freedom to just wander around when you feel like it. As children do, let your eyes wander and discover
things about you as your imagination runs wild......really......let your imagination run wild as you walk and you will get
more exercise without even trying...now go for it..
